A band that sings from their respective creative cores and ensures that each note belted out, each tune is in sync with the emotions of their enthused audience.
Started out in 2006 across multiple locations in Malaysia and in Bangladesh, Farhana (Farah) or Cherry to her closest friends has pioneered the band along with her vision to be acknowledged as a band that is relatable. Her main gusto is to see a crowd that sings along with her while performing on stage and develop a connection among the bands avid supporters.
FARAH (vocals, guitar), as the senior lead vocalist is the creative eye of the band. She plans and executes all ideas and ensures that everyone is coordinated. She also manages the band’s social media pages and actively responds to any enquiries even with the simplest request for shout-outs. She has more than 14 years of professional performing experience but has started singing at various singing contests in Manila, Philippines at an early age where she was heavily influenced by her parents’ love for classic old songs. Sooner she also learned how to dance and play the guitar to become a holistic and empowered performer.
Farah can absolutely sing any song from different genres including pop, classic, ballad, rock, country, jazz, reggae, soul and R&B where she looks up to Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Celine Dion and Beth Hart as her musical icons.
Farah during her free time is a loving wife to Syam and a doting mother to 3 wonderful children. She also further researches on how she can develop her proficient live music production skills.
SYAM (vocals, keyboard), a Malaysian local met Farah in 2006 in Langkawi and shared the same love for music which would later on become a match made in heaven. They shared the same interests from musicality to almost anything under the sun. They both fell in love with their crafts and eventually fell in love with each other and started a deeper love for music. When Farah relocated in KL, Syam followed her in the same year to study piano and the rest as they say is history. In time, Syam and Farah established Musique Sense together in 2008 and became staple performers in the most happening hotel lounges and bars in the metropolis.
Syam being the only thorn in the band mostly oversees the technicalities especially during the show. He also manages the coordination between local networks that would be able to provide them an avenue to perform in private functions.
Syam is an insatiable player of mobile games during his rest days and helps Farah take care of their household. Otherwise, you’ll see him learning songs from Ed Sheeran, Sam Smith, Toto and Chicago.
AB (vocals), a Malaysian local joined Musique Sense in 2017 and is the comic relief of the band, adding that vibrant flair onstage. His musical influences varies and has changed over time. Growing up he would listen to boy bands and girl groups such as Westlife, Backstreet Boys, N’Sync, 5ive and Spice Girls and is highly inspired with genres like RnB, rock, raggaeton and country. Lately, his repertoire include songs from Beyonce, Rihanna, Alka Yagnik, Pitbull and Michael Buble.
AB as a musician is intact with his emotions to each song he listens to. He says that, “Music is my therapy”. During his free time he likes to do self-enriching activities to ensure his rest days spent are productive. He likes to read works of James Bowen, John Grogan and David Dosa. He looks after his cats and claims that being with his furry babies taught him to be responsible in many ways possible. He is also a social media enthusiast which keeps him updated about new songs and breakthrough singers.
